Stepping Out In Faith

A few weeks ago I put in my resignation to leave my job of 9 years. July 3rd will mark a new beginning for me. God has used this job and people there as a school for me. While I was there I encounter many trials and was fought in various ways but one thing it did teach me out of many is the tactics of the enemy. With the Holy Spirit dwelling in me I can truly say I am still standing. I was sitting here reading and realized that I just graduated. Through my storms I can testify how God has brought me out on the other side. As Mark Crow states in his book "Mastering the Storm", " I want you to talk about what I am doing today. I am a resident God, a present God. And I am an ever-present help in times of trouble." God called me to be a military chaplain in 2005 and it is now 2009 and I have yet to be commissioned but I have lost faith in what God told me. There were many on this journey with me that are not here today but God is still with me. The vision is still real to me and I continue to move forward. As Bishop Jakes so eloquently says, "A setback is just a set up for what God has in store" and "A delay does not mean that the vision has been cancelled." Because of this delay it has matured me in such a way I can't explain. I have learned to trust God no matter what my eyes may see or what others may say. I have learned to hold fast to the hand of God. Lord I thank you for He has imprinted these words in my heart,

Prov. 3:21-26 (HCSB)

21) Maintain your competence and discretion. My son, don't lose sight of them. 22) They will be life for you and adornment for your neck. 23) Then you will go safely on your way; your foot will not stumble. 24) When you lie down you will not be afraid you will lie down, and sleep will be pleasant. 25) Don't fear sudden danger or the ruin of the wicked when it comes for the Lord will be your confidence and keep your foot from snare.

I WILL NOT BE AFRAID I WILL CONTINUE TO WALK IN THE SPIRIT OF GOD SPREADING ALL TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
